Quick Lookup assumes air cargo, no separate shipping/insurance charge, and both the US$100 duty-free threshold and CAF waiver applied — the usual case for items bought online and consolidated through a freight forwarder. Switch to Advanced Lookup to change any of that, or to search the full tariff by HS code instead of a category.
Advanced Lookup exposes every setting and searches the full tariff by description or HS code.
File Upload calculates a whole CSV of items at once, grouped by user, with the same assumptions as Quick Lookup (air cargo, no separate shipping/insurance, US$100 duty-free threshold and CAF waiver applied).
Upload items
Upload a CSV with a header row and the columns itemID, item name, category, cost and userID (itemID and item name are optional). One row per item; cost is that line's total cost. Duty is calculated separately for each userID, and the US$100 duty-free threshold is applied to that user's combined cost — all of their items are exempt, or none are. A category that isn't in the list below (or is blank) is calculated at tariff 4015901000 (Articles of apparel) and highlighted in yellow, so check those items. Download a template.

Shipment details
The US$100 de minimis is JCA's standard postal/courier threshold, on by default. It's all-or-nothing on the combined value of every item in the shipment, not each item on its own — two $60 items ($120 combined) both get taxed in full, even though each is individually under US$100. If you pick a currency other than US dollars, the US$ exchange rate field is used to convert the combined cost for that check. Passengers may separately qualify for a US$1,000 duty-free allowance, which is not applied here since it depends on how the item is imported; check with JCA. "CAF Waived" is on by default, so the Customs Administration Fee (CAF) is not included — turn it off if you know CAF will actually be charged on your shipment. When it's off, CAF is calculated for a standard courier parcel and follows the Personal/Commercial choice above: JA$2,500 (personal, CIF up to JA$100,000) or JA$5,000 (personal, above that), versus a flat JA$12,500 for commercial shipments — bulk freight (pallets, containers, vehicles) uses a different JCA fee schedule not modelled here.
Items
This is an unofficial estimate built from the JCA Integrated Tariff PDF and the tax-cascade formula reverse-engineered from JCA's own "What's My Duty" tool. Rows involving alcohol, tobacco, fuel or dairy often carry specific (per-litre/kg) duties rather than percentages and are flagged rather than computed. Always confirm with the Jamaica Customs Agency or a licensed customs broker before shipping.
